Mega Bra Size Converter

A bra size is two measurements pretending to be one label, which is why converting one is harder than it looks. The band comes from your underbust; the cup comes from the difference between your bust and your underbust, roughly an inch per cup. This converter turns any bra size into all seven systems at once — US, UK, …

HOW TO USE

  1. 1

Type your bra size the way it appears on the label — a band number and a cup letter, such as 34C, 75E or 12DD — and choose the system it came from.

  2. 2

Read the answer in the black box, or scroll the ‘in every system’ grid to see all seven at once; tap any row to make it the target.

  3. 3

Check the line beneath: it shows the underbust the band stands for, which cup number you are on, and the bust that implies. Tap ⇄ to reverse.

  4. 4

Filter by region or search a system by name, then Share or Embed your conversion.

ABOUT BRA SIZES

A bra size is two measurements pretending to be one label. The band comes from your underbust, and the cup comes from the difference between your bust and your underbust — roughly one inch per cup. Every country writes the same pair differently. The band is the easy half: it is the underbust in centimetres in Europe and Japan, that same number plus fifteen in France and Spain, a small index in Italy, and a number of its own in the US, UK and Australia — so a 75 band is a US 34, a French 90, an Italian 2 and an Australian 12, all describing roughly a 75‑cm underbust. The cup is where it goes wrong. Cups convert by position, not by letter: the fifth cup is a DD in the US and UK but an E in Europe, and the sixth is a DDD in the US, an E in the UK and an F in Europe. That single fact is the most expensive misunderstanding in lingerie — a UK E is not an EU E; it is an EU F. Note too that the US and UK band number is not your underbust measurement in inches: it already has roughly four inches built in, which is why a 34 band suits a 29–30‑inch underbust. Measure snugly under the bust for the band and loosely across the fullest part for the bust, take the difference, and treat the answer as a starting point — brands differ, and the same pair of numbers can fit two ways.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A US 34C is an EU 75C. The band converts because 75 is simply the underbust in centimetres that a 34 band stands for, and C is the third cup in both systems. The same bra is a UK 34C, a French 90C, an Italian 2C, an Australian 12C and a Japanese 75C.

  • US 34C → EU 75C.
  • Also UK 34C, FR 90C, IT 2C.
  • Australia 12C, Japan 75C.
  • Underbust ≈ 75 cm (29.5 in).
