Days to Weeks Converter

One week is 7 days, so to convert days to weeks you divide by 7. For example, 7 days = 1 week and 14 days = 2 weeks. This converter defaults to days → weeks, shows the result live as you type, and — because it is built on our Mega Time Units Converter — also lets you switch to seconds, months, decades or any of 24 time…

ABOUT TIME UNITS

Time has a clean backbone — sixty seconds to a minute, sixty minutes to an hour, twenty-four hours to a day, seven days to a week — and every unit here is stored as its exact number of seconds, the SI base unit, so any conversion is just your value turned into seconds and back out again. The subtlety starts at the month and the year, because neither has a single fixed length. A month might mean 30 days for a quick estimate or about 30.44 days on average; a year is commonly taken as 365 days (31,536,000 seconds), but the Julian year used in astronomy is 365.25 days, the Gregorian calendar year averages 365.2425 days, a leap year has 366, and the tropical and sidereal years — how long the Sun or the stars take to return — differ again by a few minutes. This converter keeps all of those definitions separate so you can pick the one you mean. Longer spans — the decade, century and millennium — are built on the Julian year by convention, and at the small end it covers the millisecond, microsecond, nanosecond and beyond, down to the femtosecond and the physicist’s “shake” of ten nanoseconds. Bare “month” and “year” default to the everyday 30-day and 365-day values, with the precise variants a click away in the dropdown.
