How does Monero's privacy work technically?

Monero uses three complementary technologies to achieve full transaction privacy. Ring signatures: when you send XMR, your transaction is automatically mixed with several other real transactions from the blockchain, making it impossible for outside observers to determine which input is the real one — every participant appears equally likely. Stealth addresses: the recipient generates a one-time address for each transaction, so even if someone knows your public address, they cannot link it to specific transactions on the blockchain.
