WORKED EXAMPLE

Example 1: Original $120, 25% off. Sale price = $120 x 0.75 = $90.00. You save $30.00. With 8.875% tax: $90 x 1.08875 = $97.99 total. Example 2: Original $79.99, 30% off. Sale price = $79.99 x 0.70 = $55.99. You save $24.00. Example 3 (Find % off): Original $120, sale price $90. % off = (120-90)/120 x 100 = 25% off.
