The Time Difference Calculator measures the exact span between any two dates and times — down to the second — and shows it as a calendar breakdown (years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds) and as a single total in weeks, days, hours, minutes or seconds. Leave the end set to now and it counts…

The calculator measures the exact span between your start and end moments and expresses it two ways. The calendar breakdown counts whole years, then months, then days, then the leftover hours, minutes and seconds — borrowing from the next unit whenever needed, and using each month’s real length plus every leap day. The total-unit view converts the same span into a single number of weeks, days, hours, minutes or seconds. Because months vary from 28 to 31 days, “1 month” is not a fixed number of days, which is why the calendar breakdown and the total-days figure describe the same gap from two useful angles. When the end is set to now, the seconds tick upward live.

Enter a start moment and an end moment, and the calculator measures the exact span between them. It shows the result two ways: a calendar breakdown of whole years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds, and a single total in the unit you need. Doing this by hand is error-prone because months have different lengths and leap years add a day, so the tool counts real calendar units and the precise elapsed time for you.
