Work out your pace from a distance and a time, your finish time from a distance and a pace, or how far you went from a time and a pace. Fill in any two of the three and the calculator returns the third, along with your speed in both km/h and mph, a split for every kilometre, and what the same effort...
Solving for pace.

10.00 km in 50:00 — pace and speed are reciprocals, so 5:00 per km is the same thing as 12.00 km/h.

RUN IT
Small pace differences compound. A minute per kilometre sounds like very little, but over a marathon it is 42:12 of finish time — the difference between a good day and a completely different race. That is why runners talk in seconds per kilometre rather than in overall time.
IF YOU CHANGED PACE
-15 s / km → 4:45
47:30 (−2:30)
-10 s / km → 4:50
48:20 (−1:40)
-5 s / km → 4:55
49:10 (−0:50)
+5 s / km → 5:05
50:50 (+0:50)
+10 s / km → 5:10
51:40 (+1:40)
+15 s / km → 5:15
52:30 (+2:30)

Riegel's model, T₂ = T₁ × (D₂/D₁)1.06. The exponent above one is the whole point — it says you cannot hold a 5K pace over a marathon, and the further apart the two distances are, the less the prediction should be trusted.
Fill in any two of distance, finish time and pace. The third fills itself in — the field you leave blank is outlined in gold and shows the answer as soon as the other two are valid.
Times take several forms: 50:00 means fifty minutes, 1:45:30 means one hour forty-five thirty, and a bare 45 means forty-five minutes. Pace is mm:ss, so 5:00 is a five minute kilometre.
Tap a race distance to load it exactly — the marathon is 42.195 km, not a rounded 42.2, so your splits and predictions are right to the metre.
Watch the race play out on the right, then look at the pace sensitivity panel below it. Shaving five seconds per kilometre is a small change that adds up to a surprisingly large one over a long race.
