A feed roughly every thirty-five minutes after the first forty-five is the shape most half marathon plans use, which for 2:00:00 works out at 2 feeds. Common practice for efforts over ninety minutes is thirty to sixty grams of carbohydrate an hour, though tolerance varies a great deal between people — the only reliable way to find yours is to practise it in training rather than discovering it on race day.
This is the distance where fuelling starts to matter. A 5K never needs it and a marathon always does; the half straddles the line, which is why it is the distance where the question first comes up.
